Haha this rings true ,except Stephen being a mother is the reason I now have ADHD. Every time I sit to write I think of the things that I should be doing that make me the best mother. My brain reverts to it’s not your time. It’s my baby’s time. She comes first so call it procrastination or just looking after the real number one. Even my attempts to self actualise are so they can serve as inspiration to her.

Keep to your dreams, and tend them even if in small bites. As a mother, I awoke at four am. to write before waking my family. Today, I give time to an aged parent and a grandchild. I’ve learned to steal time where I can. My dreams are still here, important and tended in creative ways. It’s a long haul, but I have no regrets. I write and paint around and with life. You will find your way. I’m cheering for you.
