Just a few days ago I pondered on the saying of mr. Jim Rohn. He talked about, and also named an audiobook with that title, ‘the day that turns your life around’. It was a girl-scout story for him. He didn’t have two dollars to buy the candy she was selling, although she was very polite and he was a grown-up man and was working and had started a little family. So he did what he thought next best: he lied to her (He laughs ironically, always, when he says that). He told her that he already had bought a lot of candies from other girl-scouts, so she said Oh that’s great dear Sir, and she leaves… It was the day that turned his life around. He didn’t want to live like that any more.
SaddlyI can’t identify with that. Here is my story: I had many days that were ambitious to the extreme to change my life. The day I read John Gray for the first time, the day I read my greatest mentors for the first time, and the periods after those days. But it all quite vanished dear Steve. Yes, there were those days, not only with such experiences, but also when I created The Mythologists, when I started the book, and the book before that, etc. But in the end they all like vanished into thin air. Yes I am much more important for my life than before them, but I see dreams scattered and the Gods laughing at me much more often than not.
So I pondered -it wasn’t more than 4 days ago- that there is no day that turns my life around. My life actually is in a spin like in a washing machine – sometimes up, sometimes down, and always suffocating, except those small moments when that machine wrings the water out to recycle it, so then I take a break.
